Company donates $10K to challenged athletes

San Diego’s Challenged Athletes Foundation recently received a $10,000 donation from BJA Partners, an area insurance company, as part of the “Make More Happen” awards. The award program is sponsored by Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance. CAF provides opportunities and support to people with physical challenges so they can pursue active lifestyles. The $10,000 donation will help disabled children by providing equipment such as prosthetic legs, adaptive wheelchairs or specialized coaching to relearn how to walk or run. BJA Partners originally received a $5,000 donation, and was given the chance to raise an additional $5,000 by conducting a local awareness campaign for the nonprofit. The goal was met, increasing the donation to $10,000. Throughout 2021, Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance are selecting 34 independent agents nationwide for Make More Happen awards. In July, San Diego’s Mainline Insurance Services donated its $10,000 Make More Happen award to Big Table, which helps San Diego restaurant and hospitality workers in need.
