10Fold, a business-to-business (B2B) communications and content agency, has opened a San Diego office. The address is 704 “J” St. It is the company’s sixth office. In addition to San Diego, regional offices are located in Pleasanton, Capistrano Beach, Austin and Denver. The company also said two long-time employees were recently promoted: Angela Griffo, an 11-year employee, to senior vice president of client services; Ross Perich, an 18-year employee, to general manager of the content group and large accounts. Also, Mike Kilroy, with 25 years of experience, has been hired as vice president. 10Fold said its account teams consist of multi-year PR veterans, broadcasters and former journalists.

San Diego public relations firm c3 Communications, specializing in special event promotion and public relations, has announced it has been hired as the agency of record by five clients. They include: Beyond Babel, a dance show; Extreme Sailing Series; Catholic Community Foundation of San Diego; Jewish Xperience Week, Oct. 21-27, an event featuring various spiritual, cultural and social activities and sponsored by Shabbat of San Diego; Dthera Sciences (OTCQB:DTHR), a San Diego-based, digital therapeutics.

The former Mission Valley home of The San Diego Union-Tribune, 350 Camino del la Reina, has been redeveloped into a 330,000-square-foot office campus known as Ampersand. Construction firm C.W. Driver Companies recently announced completion of the project’s first phase. Remodeling included the office tower that housed reporters, editors and other management personnel for more than 40 years, before the U-T relocated in 2016 to Downtown San Diego. The three-story building originally held the printing plant and was built to withstand the heavy load of printing presses and other equipment. Faced with all brick exterior and concrete interior elements, C.W. Driver was tasked with cutting through the thick composition to open interiors to more natural light, adding new large glass windows and doors.
